More about Stafilos Beach
Stafilos is partly organized, offering essential amenities such as sunbeds and umbrellas for those who prefer comfort. There is also a small canteen serving light snacks and refreshments, allowing visitors to spend the entire day by the water without interruption. Despite its amenities, the beach retains a sense of unspoiled beauty, striking a perfect balance between accessibility and natural charm. For those seeking more active pursuits, the beach offers opportunities for paddleboarding and kayaking. Exploring the surrounding coves and inlets by kayak provides a fresh perspective on the area’s stunning landscape, while paddleboarding over the clear waters offers a serene and invigorating experience.
Moreover, the surrounding cliffs and rocky outcrops are ideal for hiking and exploration. A small trail leads to Velanio Beach, just a short walk away, which is a quieter, naturist-friendly option for those seeking seclusion. The path offers breathtaking views of the coastline and is a rewarding experience for nature enthusiasts.
Getting to Stafilos Beach is straightforward, as it is well-connected by road to Skopelos Town. Visitors can reach the beach by car, taxi, or bus, and there is a convenient parking area nearby. From the parking lot, a short descending path leads you to the beach, gradually revealing its breathtaking scenery.

marjvall 19 Jan 2009Put more bins on beachesStafilos is probably the most crowded beach on Skopelos. Although there are no beach bars or sport clubs, it gets very busy. It is very close to Skopelos town, where we stayed, and easy to go by bus (we had rented a motorbike, though, to see all of the island). The water was very clean and the environment picturesque. It is actually a short beach under a huge mountain edge. You have to climb down a rough path to go. The authorities, however, should put more bins on the beach because they full up quickly and they don't empty them frequently. It is a shame to leave rubbish on such beautiful beaches.
