General information

Kavourotrypes is a stunning beach located about 75 kilometers southeast of Poligiros, the capital of Halkidiki. Also known as Portokali (Orange) Beach, this heavenly spot boasts a long stretch of white sand adorned with white rocks that slide into the emerald waters. The sea is calm and relatively shallow, making this a perfect swimming spot and a safe choice for families with young children. Jagged cliffs with dense pine trees surround the beach, creating an intoxicating atmosphere.

Kavourotrypes is ideal for people looking for the perfect tan! Even though there are sunbeds and umbrellas available for rent on one side of the beach, there are also open areas where you can lay a towel right next to the sea. There is also a beach bar serving refreshing drinks and delectable snacks, along with a few more bars and canteens overlooking the beach. It should be noted that the beach is one of the busiest in Halkidiki, often seeing many visitors, especially during peak summer months.

The beach is accessible by car, with a winding dirt road leading directly to its shore. Mega Portokali Beach lies within walking distance of Kavourotrypes and is also worth a visit. Those wishing to avoid the big crowds can venture out to one of the many smaller coves close to Kavourotrypes that offer a much quieter and isolated experience.
