• How can I get to my hotel from the airport?

Some routes connect the airport with Zakynthos Town, which is not far away. If your hotel is located in Zakynthos Town, you can continue on foot after getting off at the bus station. If, however, your hotel is in another area, you will either have to take another bus from Zakynthos Town or use another means of transport to reach your hotel. A taxi is a good choice if you are staying in a nearby resort, such as Argassi, Laganas and Kalamaki, but is not recommended for more remote villages due to the high cost.
Perhaps the most convenient options are car rental and private transfer. In the case of car rental, you can request to have the car delivered to you at the airport and thus start your trip to Zakynthos directly!

• How can I get to my hotel from the port?

The island's main port is located in Zakynthos Town. If your hotel is located close to the port, you can easily reach it on foot.
Public buses can accommodate you if your hotel is located in one of the popular tourist resorts, as those are connected with Zakynthos Town and each other. Note, though, that buses only serve the southern part of the island, which is the busier one. If your accommodation is not situated there, you'll need to use another means of transport to get to your hotel. A rental car is the most convenient option, while private transfers are a good idea as well. Taxis are always on the table, yet we don't recommend using them for long distances due to their prices.
Bear in mind that the second port of Zakynthos is located in Agios Nikolaos Volimon, a small fishing village in the northern part of the island. That means you can leave from there only by car (or other private vehicle) and taxi.

• How can I get to Zakynthos Town?

Getting to Zakynthos Town from the popular villages on the southern side of the island is pretty easy. Buses connect the capital with the busy seaside resorts while taking a taxi will not be very pricey due to the small distances. On the other hand, a rental car is probably the best way to reach Zakynthos Town from the more tranquil areas on the northern side of the island. Of course, private transfers and taxis are alternative options.

• How can I get to some of the finest beaches?

The most popular beach is no other than the jaw-dropping Navagio, which you can visit by booking an organized tour. The beautiful beaches situated close to Zakynthos Town like Tsilivi, Laganas, and Argassi can be reached by bus (in addition to taxis and private vehicles), while the more secluded beaches can only be approached by car.

• Can I rely on public means of transport?

Buses connect the island's busy spots with one another and with Zakynthos Town. Nevertheless, if you want to explore Zakynthos and discover less-known beaches and other hidden gems, a rental car is your only option.

• Are the distances between Zakynthos Town and the tourist spots long?

Except for Navagio Beach and the Blue Caves, the island's most lively spots are the seaside resorts and sandy beaches located close to Zakynthos Town, which are easy to reach by several means of transport.
