Kythira Potamos

General information

Potamos is the largest village of Kythira, situated in the northeastern part of the island. Its name, derived from the Greek word for river, reflects the area’s rich vegetation and natural beauty. The village is located approximately 19 kilometers from Chora and about 10 kilometers from the coastal village of Agia Pelagia.

Every Sunday, Potamos hosts a vibrant market where local producers sell agricultural products, including olive oil, cheese, honey, figs, and jam.
