Along with Naxos, Tinos has the most scenic villages in the Cyclades. Marble is encountered in many, and the whitewashed houses and picturesque alleys and squares take you to another era. The only exception has to be Tinos Town, where you will admire Neoclassical mansions and some more contemporary buildings.

In brief, Tinos Town is the busiest and most developed village on the island. Yet, the many traditional villages offer more unique images and experiences.

Description: The largest and most picturesque village, Pyrgos has a long tradition in marble sculpting, evident in its traditional architecture, marble streets, and art museums.

Description: Having been declared a traditional settlement for its outstanding architectural heritage, Kardiani is a picturesque mountainous village offering magnificent sea views that reach as far as Syros.

Description: Tinos Town, or Chora, is the capital and main port of the island. It is mostly famous for the impressive Church of Evangelistria, which has transformed the island into a highly important religious destination for the Greeks.
