Tinos Beaches

Generally, the beaches in the south are more popular and organized with hotels, seaside taverns, and cafeterias. The beaches on the north side are secluded but are affected by high winds and sometimes even big waves. For this reason, places like Kolymvithra became popular among wave surfers and surf lessons and rentals are also proposed.

In brief, the busier beaches are on the southern side of the island, while the northern side mainly has more secluded and pristine shores. Agios Ioannis Porto is probably the most known beach in Tinos.

Description: This is a secluded rocky cove before the more popular Kionia Beach. Though it is not organized, it gets quite popular on windy days, as it is well-sheltered from the strong summer winds that blow on the island.
