ABOUT HALKIDIKI GREECE

Halkidiki is a verdant peninsula located in Northern Greece, renowned for its natural beauty and proximity to Thessaloniki, the vibrant, second-largest city in Greece.

Famous for its stunning seaside resorts and paradise-like beaches, this stunning peninsula is divided into three smaller peninsulas, each presenting a different kind of charming ambiance.
Kassandra, the western one, is the liveliest, bustling with tourist activity and nightlife. Sithonia, the middle one, offers a more serene atmosphere, which makes it a favorite spot for camping and nature lovers. Lastly, Athos, the eastern one, is home to a secluded monastic Orthodox community.

If you manage to peel yourself away from the stunning beaches, there's plenty to see and explore inland! A scenic drive will take you to impressive sites such as the Cave of Petralona, Byzantine towers, ancient monuments and imposing monasteries.
If you’re feeling up to it, you should do a boat tour from Ouranoupolis to Mount Athos. Since entrance to the Athos peninsula is not allowed to the public, the boat sails along the coastline, allowing passengers to marvel at the beautiful monasteries from the sea.

Halkidiki is one of Greece's most popular holiday destinations, so expect to find a great selection of hotels and luxurious resorts, restaurants, bars and shops for every taste!
Whether you’re traveling with your family, friends, or significant other, Halkidiki promises you an unforgettable holiday!
